Jay's Chicken Souvlaki features grilled chicken breasts (marinated in lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, oregano, thyme, mint, and lemon zest) and served kebab-style over a brown rice pilaf with roasted peppers and onions. Also comes with aside of yellow split pea puree (known as fava in Greek households) with feta on top. #glutenfree
Jay's hometown - Ithaca, NY - is a quaint collegetown (Cornell, Ithaca College) with a rich immigrant history. Greeks, Syrians, and Italians settled in Ithaca in the early 20th century and Greek and Italian restaurants proliferated, including at least a dozen with "SOUVLAKI" in their name.
